It was. strange having a girlfriend like Claire.
Draco, reading in lounge could hear her doing something in his kitchen. He assumed it was cooking. It seemed like she was always cooking in his apartment (not that he minded, she was a better cook than him, after all). She was humming to herself again, one of those weird muggle jump songs (hop? pop? who knew. Muggles) and every now and then she'd appear in the doorway to make sure he was still alive and paying attention to her and he'd smile and she'd smile and everything would be alright for some reason.
This wasn't what he was used to.
The only other girl he'd ever dated was Pansy- who had simpered and pandered to his every whim like a good girlfriend who loved him for his money and status should. She'd never hit him for not actually paying attention to her. She'd never made faces at him until he apologised for not paying attention to her.
She'd never cornered him into agreeing not to fight someone while making out with him.
Cupcakes appeared, Claire with them.
Draco put down the datapad and his thoughts. He'd figure it out later.
